An Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, Aine Ahmed lives in Miramar Beach. Before accepting this position in 2016, he served for nearly 15 years in a similar role in the Eastern District of Washington in Spokane. In both of these positions, Aine Ahmed prosecuted cases covering a wide legal spectrum, involving violent felonies, drug and firearms offenses, civil rights violations, and white-collar crime.
Mr. Ahmed gained much of his legal training while serving in the US Army. During Operation Enduring Freedom,, he was a Trial Defense Services counsel with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. His accomplishments during his Army service earned him both the Bronze Star and the Order of the Spurs.
Over the course of his career, Aine Ahmed has also served tenures as an assistant district counsel with the US Immigration and Naturalization Service and an assistant district attorney in North Carolina and Georgia. He earned his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law.
